There really is a Smoke Creek. Actually, there are several, all over the country. Our particular namesake starts up near the Canadian border, and runs through Murray ranchland on its way to the Little Muddy (which empties into the Missouri). We're looking for some good pictures and maybe even a map. In the meantime, look for it Northeast of Wolf Point, Montana, and West of Froid.
