Smoke Creek is Mike Murray on vocals, clawhammer and old-time two-finger banjo, and guitar, and Jim Murray , on vocals and guitar, joined by Peggy Sullivan on vocals and guitar, Ted Briggs-Comstock on Dobro and vocals. The band plays an unpredictable mix of award-winning original songs, ballads, country-western songs and old-time instrumentals.



For almost ten years, Smoke Creek has been a regular performer at festivals such as Folklife, Richland's Tumbleweed Festival, Poulsbo's Art by the Bay, and other events and concerts around the Northwest and has been featured on Northwest radio.

In 1997, they released their first CD, titled Smoke Creek, a collection of original and traditional songs and instrumentals. This album has received great reviews in publications such as "Sing Out", "Victory Review", "Disc Master", and "Heritage Music Review".
